D-A-D was formed in the early 80s in Copenhagen, Denmark by Jesper Binzer (vocals/guitar), Jacob Binzer (lead guitar), Stig Pedersen (bass), and Peter Jensen (drums). The big break-through came in 1989 with the single "Sleeping My Day Away", followed up by the award-winning album "Riskin' It All" in 1991 and a heavy tour activity throughout Europe.
In 1999, drummer Peter Jensen left the band, and was replaced by Laust Sonne and they entered the new millennium with their seventh studio album "Everything Glows", and two years later the album "Soft Dogs" that reached #1 on the Danish album chart.
