Hello my gunpla friends,

Greetings from Canada! We have been settling down in sunny (not) Vancouver after our move away from Korea. It's been a whirlwind of tasks, errands, and unpacking while trying to work and take care of our daughter. It hasn't been easy at all for Kughee and me, but things are finally starting to settle in. Our little lady turns 3 years old soon -- can you believe it!? She has also started attending pre-school in Canada, which means I will have time to build and upload here on Youtube very soon!

At the moment, I'm setting up my new studio space. I need to get a lot of new equipment - booth, compressor, and paints. We did ship a lot of our tools back with us.

I have a lot of plans in store for Youtube and my other platforms, which you will see unfold very soon. In the future, I'm hoping to bring back more vlog style videos showing my life as a Gunpla Youtuber behind-the-scenes, and sharing a more detailed look at my builds. Usually, my part or full build videos are months of work condensed into a 20 minute video. With the build vlogs, I will be able to share and explain more, which will hopefully be of help and interest to everyone!

To finish off, I've included some snippets of our life here in Canada.

I can't wait to get back to uploading videos soon. See you then!

Lots of love,
Sharon

After posting my most recent "Goodbye Korea" video (youtu.be/wy0tkHfJ3YI), I was really touched by all of your beautiful comments. I know we are just faces online, but many of you treat us like your own family and friends, and I am so grateful to have such a community surrounding me.

Thank you everyone for your lovely messages, wishing our family well, and welcoming us to Canada (for those of you fellow Canadians).

I didn't realize many would mistaken me as a newcomer to Canada. I was also intrigued by some comments criticizing my move to Canada. Of course, I've never formally introduced myself online because I didn't feel the need to — I just build gunpla on Youtube — but because of the warmth and support everyone has shown us, I thought I would share a bit about myself.

I am Chinese-Canadian, born in Hong Kong, and raised in Canada. I've lived in Montreal, Kelowna, and mostly in Vancouver. I moved to live and work in Korea right after I graduated from university. This is why I speak English, Cantonese, and Korean.

I enjoyed my single life in Korea — there's a lot to offer in Seoul. However, I've always wanted to raise my children in Canada, if I ever had any — and now I do. Kughee agreed that Canada would be a better environment for her to grow up in, and so we made the move. It was an extremely scary decision that involved a difficult process and taxing effort — but we did it. We're here.

I'm home.

Selling some of my painted gunpla + lots of freebies with purchase. We don't normally sell or take commission so now's a good time to adopt one of our work into your home :) I'll be selling until August 27th only. After that, I will just pack and keep them myself (yestheresamovecoming)!
