Hey friends! I hope you are doing well and staying encouraged <3 Have you seen my latest video with Hannah Bettes, my good friend and former second soloist with Boston Ballet?

In the last one to two years, Hannah and I both chose to step away from dancing professionally. We both know from experience how scary it can be to take the leap into the life beyond dancing full time even if you know in your heart that it's the right decision to make. ⁣

In this conversation, we talked openly about what the transition has been like for both of us and what tremendous value it has brought to both of our lives to dive into the uncertainty of stepping away so that we could find healthier and more purposeful lives for us. ⁣

During this time of quarantine, I imagine many of you dancers are starting to question your future in ballet. You may wonder if it's possible to continue to follow the professional path or if your heart is even in it anymore. Even if you know that continuing to dance professionally or to pursue the professional path is not right for you, SO MANY dancers stay on the path far longer than they should simply because it is more appealing to stay in the life they know (even if it's miserable) than to take a risk on another life full of unknowns. ⁣

Hannah and I both have been in that struggle, and we are so happy to bring this video as an encouragement that the life beyond ballet can be beautiful and just as purposeful, even though it may take a while to "figure out" (though we never really figure life out, am I right? 😂). ⁣

Let us know how our video on YouTube impacts the way you feel about your future, and share this with your friends! <3 ⁣

Much love, ⁣
Kirsten

Hey y'all! Have you seen my latest video? In it, I share with you how you can make simple upgrades to your positive affirmations and self talk so that you can stop the frustrating cycle of repeating nice statements to yourself that just never quite seem to give you the confidence boost you're looking for no matter how many times you repeat them!

Check out the video and let me know what you think with a comment or a thumbs up if you would like to see more videos like this! :)

HEY! I'll get right to the point here: Make sure that you have hit the notification bell beneath my videos so that you actually see when I post a new video every week!

YouTube analytics are showing that a large majority of my subscribers are no longer seeing my videos, which is such a shame considering that my content is only getting better and better, but fewer and fewer people are getting to see it!

Lastly, if TwinTalksBallet has played a part in helping you to become a better dancer since you've subscribed, I would also like to ask you to pay the favor forward to a few of your close friends! Take one minute to share one of my recent videos with them that you think they would enjoy :)

After all, as this online community of dancers grows, that just means more dancers get the valuable support they need to flourish in their craft!

Thanks in advance for hitting the notification bell and sharing ❤️Y'all are the reason I work hard to put out these free videos every week!

Sincerely,
Kirsten

Merry belated Christmas, everyone!

It has been a trailblazing year at the TwinTalksBallet headquarters, and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a part of it!

From really kicking my Mindset Coaching practice for dancers into gear, to getting to travel across the country to teach and present seminars to dancers (AND launching my first online coaching program!), it's been a big year of creating a positive impact in the ballet community!

The thing is, none of this would have really come together the way it did without the support of dancers like you, so I want to thank you personally for being here and engaging, no matter how much or how little you did!

To show you my appreciation, I have re-activated the $50 off coupons for enrollment to the Come Back Stronger Course, the online program I created to guide and support dancers through the process of making a strong and successful recovery from an injury.

To take advantage of this offer, use one of these coupon codes at check out using the link to the program below.

$50 off enrollment to the Basic version of the program:

"50OFFCBSC"

I also wanted to announce to you that enrollment for the Come Back Stronger Course for injured dancers is now OPEN!

This is a huge announcement because this online support program I have created is truly the first of it's kind, and will make an unbelievable difference in the journeys of hundreds of dancers across the world who are struggling through their injuries alone.

Hey everyone!! Thank you so much for the amazing feedback on my last two videos! I'm so grateful that my honesty is really connecting with what a lot of you are going through.

I wanted to repost the link to receive the free PDF guide I created on "5 Ways Dancers Go Wrong in Injury Recovery + How to Avoid These Mistakes" since the link in my last video apparently wasn't working! Here it is:

mailchi.mp/2da1d20dafed/5mistakesfreebie

This will give you a little taste of the content in the Come Back Stronger Course for injured dancers that will be officially launching on...

Wednesday, November 13th!!

This is the first program ever created to walk injured dancers through the recovery process, giving them the unique support they need to overcome the biggest challenges and confusions dancers face during recovery so that they can know with confidence that they are getting the guidance they need to come back stronger, mentally and physically.

To learn more about the specifics of what is included in this online program, visit www.comebackstronger.com

If you are going through an injury right now, I know from experience that you will regret trying to figure out the recovery process and deal with the emotional challenges all on your own! Let me equip you with the strategies and the community you need to come through this strong!

See you guys on Thursday when I release my next video! Until then, make it a great week!

Mi amigos!! I wanted to connect with you guys on YouTube since I am in the middle of two and a half weeks of back-to-back travel for a teaching/speaking gig in Alaska and now a Neurolinguistic Programming training (a powerful coaching/therapy method) in St. Louis. Though that is all super exciting, I'm bummed that I haven't been able to prioritize getting some videos out to you guys!

However, I've been able to post so much more frequently on Instagram, so I'd like to invite you to follow me there (@twintalksballet) if you want more frequent mindset tips, motivational posts, thoughts on ballet, and updates on all the things I'm up to!
You are also free to DM me questions there.

In the meantime, I would LOVE to know what topics you would like for me to cover in upcoming videos! Comment your requests down below!

Anyway, here is a picture from my amazing trip to Alaska!

Talk to y'all soon! ❤️

Hey friends! How did you like my last video on 7 Things Dancers Just Have to Get Over to be Successful? It was a little sassy, wasn't it!? Sassy, yet hopefully full of gold nuggets for you :)

Well TOMORROW I am dropping another video in a similar spirit! You'll have to wait to see exactly what it's about, but it's definitely for all you dancers out there who just wish you could get your teachers to like you!

Though, OF COURSE, I am not about encouraging dancers to be fueled by external validation, but it certainly doesn't hurt to be in good standing with your teachers, right?

So no matter what stage you are at in your training or career and how well you get along with your teachers, be sure to watch that video and give me YOUR two cents on what you think builds trust between teachers and students!

I can't wait to read your comments! 💕

Have a great day,

Kirsten

Hi everyone, please take a minute to read this! ❤️

If you watched one or both of the videos I posted last week, I wanted to let you know that I have prayerfully made the decision to take them down as they completed the purpose they were meant to serve for a specific time. Though they may no longer be relevant for my entire viewership, if you would still like to access them for any reason, you can DM me on instagram and I will send you the links to the unlisted videos.

As I said, I will be continuing to serve the entire ballet community to the best of my abilities, just with a lot more discernment in what types of concepts I share. I know that I naturally work in a discipline in which there are lots of gray areas as far as what are objective, spiritually-neutral mindset tips and what crosses the line in my faith of encouraging people to seek divinity and power within themselves instead of God.

Finding those healthy boundaries for me will be a life-long pursuit, and I ask for your grace in the 100% chance that I will constantly make mistakes and say things that I desire to apologize for later. But for now, if you hear me talking about how to improve your mindset, just know that I am trying my best to continue to share helpful practices for mental health and optimum performance without going too deep into suggesting that I stand by New Age beliefs that encourage independence from God. Yes, we can absolutely do certain things to help ourselves and I’m here to give you all of that stuff that I know, but I don’t want to suggest that I believe we possess a level of divinity or power that is any replacement for a relationship with Jesus.

Essentially, I’m trying to still do my job without throwing the baby out with the bathwater. For example, I stand by the fact that visualization is a great tool for preparing your mind to perform well on stage, but I’m not suggesting that we should do it as some sort of prayer to the universe and then take the credit as if we are God and manifested our own perfect reality.

If are confused by any of this, I totally understand and am right there with you! Please feel free to DM me if you have questions for me you’d like to talk through together. I’ll do my best with what I know and the time I have.

Since I have made the commitment to you that this channel is a place for all, I will also be doing my best to keep this about ballet and respect other people’s beliefs without contradicting my own.

Anyway, I just want you to know that the videos are down so that we can all move forward. I am incredibly grateful for those of you who have chosen to stick with me through thick and thin. My heart is to serve you with every ounce of my imperfect being. Love you guys ❤️
