My 3rd nephew will arrive soon π₯³π₯³π₯³π
During my sister's 3rd pregnancy, she had a strong craving for Chicken Adobo. She asked me to cook that dish for her again since she tried it for a first tike in Germany by me in December.
So, upon arriving in Latvia, I decided to make it for her as long she is still pregnantand still want it. I prepared both Chicken Adobo and Pork Adobo 2 in 1, but biggest this Filipino dish fan is my sweet little niece Lina. She was the most excited about it! I can't stop watching and enjoying this view: cute little girl eat and enjoys filipino dish what I prepared ππ₯°π΅π
And baby who isn't born yet, also enjoyed the food π

I finally unveiled the surprise to my kids after they finished school year in Germany and showed them their tickets to the Philippines π΅ππ. They can't believe it's true and that we're flying in August already π€π
But first, we're heading to my home country - Latvia - to visit my family π₯°π₯°π₯°

I will try to edit the vlog as soon as possible. How I make surprise for them telling that we are just going to the picnick, but then during picknick I told them that I have a surprise for them and gave them tickets to the Philippines πππ€

This isn't my restaurant, but because of my vlog I was invited to cook Filipino food at one German restaurant in Black Forest.
I prepared Pork Adobo and Pork Sinigang.
It turned out super delicious. Lucky are those who passed by that day and decided to try Pork Adobo instead of the usual Pork Schnitzel! ππ€

Part 5
Continuing the story of how I ended up staying on Samal Island, which I never planned initially. The beginning of the story can be found in the Community section on my page.
So, that day arrivesβTuesday. This day will determine everything. Either we stay in the Philippines, or we will head back to Germany for school. We board the "bao bao" in the morning. I had arranged with the driver beforehand to ensure we wouldnβt be late, and he arrives right on time at 6:50 AM.
By 7 AM, we are already at the school. While I wait for the Russian woman from the beach, who promised to talk to the principal about us, I observe everything around me. Everything is new, but nothing shocks me. It feels like this is exactly how things should be.
For the first time, I see Filipino children going to school. Dressed in clean uniforms, beautifully groomed, riding 3 or even 4 persons at 1 motorcycle. Police officers stand by the gates, and across the entrance, vendors are selling fried bananas and pancakes. Youβd never see something like this in Europe. In Europe, selling homemade food to children near a school is a crime, and the police would have already or ask them go or arrest them.
I breathe in the Filipino freedom deeply.
At the same time, I worry that this might not work out, because we were not accepted into any public school in Davao. Leaving now would feel like a total failure, and who knows if Iβd ever get the chance to reclaim my freedom and come back to the Philippinesβa country I had loved long before I first arrived.
The Russian woman arrives with her children, dives into the school gates, and emerges with the principal within five minutes. Another five minutes later, we are enrolled in the school. I couldn't believe it. After visiting every school in Davao, from private to public, to international ones, we were turned away everywhere. The ones who wanted accept us, wad "American Stockbridge," but it was too expensive for us to afford.
But here, in just five minutes, we were accepted, and it turned out to be a completely free school. I couldnβt fully believe what was happening. They gave us a list of items to buy and said the children could start at 11 AM today!!
And thatβs how we ended up staying on Samal. Ahead of us lay many challenges, tears, and nerves, but I knew, even back then, despite the difficulties, that it was the right decision. No matter how hard it was, this was exactly where I was meant to be.
