When they come out in the lowriders at the Mexican Independence Day Parade, everyone gets so happy and the energy is on another level! π²π½
As they march down they're super chill and let people sit and pose on the bikes to take photos, it's one of the best parts of the parade. The energy is so West Coast and completely unlike anything we're used to in NYC. π²π½π²π½π²π½

This past weekend marked the beginning of the lunar New Year celebration and festivities that are held all month long in New York City and @thinkchinatown kicked it off with the firecracker ceremony!!
In Chinese tradition, firecrackers are believed to scare off evil spirits and misfortune. They also symbolize the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil.
2024 is the year of the Wood Dragon π and I wish everyone good fortune and lots of dolla dolla bills this year!

The neighborhood in South Brooklyn is known for its extravagant and elaborate Christmas light displays put up by residents during the holiday season. People from all over come to witness the dazzling decorations, which include massive inflatable Santas, sparkling lights, and themed displays.
