Yet another reason to ditch alcohol: beer and wine are loaded with glyphosate, it turns out. This herbicide is linked with loads of gut and immune health issues, which are sadly rampant nowadays.

Recent analysis finds most commercial beer and wine contain unhealthy amounts of glyphosate-based herbicide residues.

History always repeats itself, even in the field of nutrition. In the late 1980’s Proctor and Gamble acquired the rights to sell hydrogenated cottonseed oil—an industrial waste product—which was positioned to be a healthier fat for cooking than butter and animal fat, staples of the time. (It wasn’t until 1990 that we learned about the real harms of trans fat consumption and cardiovascular disease risk.)

Over 100 years later people still routinely consume hydrogenated fats made from vegetables but are, for whatever reason, scared of butter and saturated fat.

What are your thoughts?
