I'm back from an absolutely wonderful visit with family. It was the first time I've seen them since my lung cancer treatment and diagnosis and it was so rewarding. Seeing my family (sisters, brother, father, nieces, & nephew) was exactly what I needed - all the sibling adoration, silly squabbles, laughs, and catching up. I can't tell you how wonderful it was to feel normal. My sisters and brother made me feel so loved as they adjusted their very busy schedules to meet up. To say that I am grateful, is an understatement. Littleton, NH holds dear memories and has given me the boost I didn't know I needed. ❤️

Summer produce in the USA is a big part of the 4th of July. I love blueberries, in particular, and made Blueberry Pie Bars for the holiday. Hello. I'm getting back into more hand sewing/slow stitching as my vision returns and I am compiling a list of hand sewing tips. I could really use your help, would you share some of your timesavers or frustration savers with me? One viewer recently commented that she stores her newly used skeins in a little baggie with the label, to keep it neat and together. I loved this idea and thought we all have little things we do that could help others. Thanks in advance for considering this challenge 😊

It's an global art challenge with a mermaid theme, that takes place throughout the month of May. www.instagram.com/mermay_official/?hl=en The offiical prompts are already released for 2024, with 31 prompts - one a day, And like all art challenges, you can alter them to fit your likiing or schedule. For example, I am going to work on one main mermaid, not following any prompt. I'll use Mermay as an inspiration to create a painting.
