Steven Tan, CEO for Mazda Philippines and fellow MSCC member, shared with us that in his line of work, he couldn't afford to have a personal attachment to cars as it's his job to sell cars, not keep them. But when Mazda Japan announced that they were producing 3,000 units of the Mazda MX-5 30th-anniversary edition in one special color, racing orange, Steven saw the car and absolutely loved it. He ordered 20 of them for his customers and when he first introduced the car, he immediately realized he wouldn't have enough to sell to his customers. He then contacted Mazda Japan and asked for 10 more, but they had already allocated everything out. Determined, Steven then contacted a friend within the Mazda organization and he ended up with 31 cars. Great news! Furthermore, Steven was then told that the last unit of the 3,000 will be sent to the Philippines. However, this meant that the last unit would be going to someone else and thus he felt sad. But thankfully, he soon realized he had only allocated 30 cars for his customers, which left one car for him to keep! Without hesitation, Steven seized the opportunity and took that last unit for himself. The rest, is history!

Steven's love for the MX-5 is evident, and his journey is a testament to the bond we can have with our cars, making them more than just a mode of transportation, but also a part of our story.

Aldous Aldwin shares with us his Porsche 944 Outlaw, a unique German/Japanese "hybrid" that took exactly two years to build. Nicknamed "Porzilla", it is fitted with a RB25DET NEO Engine that transforms this Porsche 944 into a truly unique Godzilla "monster" of a car.

"In the US, the 944 is a popular model for LS swaps, but I haven't seen any RB25 swaps yet, so maybe I could say this is the first in the world." - Aldous Aldwin.
