"Before doing business, we go makan (eat) first"

That’s what you'll often hear in Asia.

Most deals are done once the relationship between parties is strong enough. However, many still mistakenly think that to find a good job, close a client, or raise investments, you only need to be an expert in your field. Yes, it's important, but it's not enough.

Let me share how I saved a ton of money through networking, which is essentially the skill of building relationships.

Yesterday, I had my third strategic marketing call with someone whose individual consulting costs USD 50,000. He consults me for free! Here's how:

I met him at the right time and place (I was a speaker at a major conference he attended), built and nurtured relationships with him and his wife (decision-makers often include close relatives), and offered expertise in an area he values (I advised him on launching his YouTube channel).

The result: significant savings and a large-scale project I'll launch under his guidance this fall, which should bring significant profits to my business.

So, if you haven't realized it yet—there's a direct link between networking and your income.

I’ve packed my insights into an online workshop happening on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 5 PM (9 AM GMT). *If you can't join live, opt for the recordings after signing up.

You will learn how to:
- Connect with Like-minded People: Easily expand your social circle in genuine, enjoyable ways.
- Showcase Your Value: Effectively highlight your unique strengths to grab attention.
- Break Out of Your Shell: Use simple strategies to meet new people, including potential clients and investors—ideal for introverts.
- Become a Better Speaker: Enhance your communication and public speaking skills to make a memorable impact.
- Foster Lasting Bonds: Streamline and strengthen your relationships and build a supportive network.

Bonus content includes:
- 5 techniques for comfortable business introductions
- 30 conversation-starting phrases
- A self-presentation script that distinguishes you from the crowd
- 3 strategies to enter the right social circles

(английский) Just got back to Singapore from a weekend holiday in Thailand and found a bunch of messages from folks who've signed up for the 3-day online workshop, "YouTube Fast-Track to Views & Passive Income." I'm pretty stoked.

As I guessed, the number one goal for most people who want to start a YouTube channel is to reach financial freedom. Not surprising, right?

But what really got me is the second biggest goal: to share their knowledge and inspire others! That's so refreshing!

And yes, I can tell you from experience, both these goals can absolutely be reached with a YouTube channel.

Alright, we're just a few days away; we start next Tuesday, Apr 2nd, with my online YouTube workshop.

So, if you've been thinking about starting a side hustle, creating another stream of income, and sharing your skills or creativity with the world while getting paid for it, it might be time to consider starting a YouTube channel. I've been there and can help you skip some trial and error. I'll personally guide you, help you save time, find your niche, and get started on YouTube smoothly.

To get my help, sign up for the 3-day online workshop, "YouTube Fast-Track to Views & Passive Income."

(осторожно, пост на английском!) How My YouTube Channel Bought Me an Apartment in Thailand

I've always loved shooting videos. As a child, around the age of 10, our family got a VHS camera, which I practically never let go of - walking around, filming, and commenting on everything happening. We were living in Vladivostok, Russia, back then (the country's easternmost city, close to Japan). Today, you might call that a YouTube vlog 🙂

Could I have ever imagined that after living in Western Russia, Europe, and the US, I would return to Asia, where video production would become my profession and this career would earn me an apartment in Phuket?

Life is strange indeed. Before diving into YouTube, I started as an engineer in a German company, then worked as a marketer in an American one, and only years later did I create my first YouTube channel - in Russian, with expert content on online marketing, now boasting 300,000 subscribers.

Now, I'm a full-time YouTuber, but in a completely different niche. I film interviews with expats in various locations. I started this channel a year and a half ago from absolute zero without any audience in those countries.

I want to share how I managed to launch and grow two channels in completely different niches (educational and entertainment) in different languages, implementing the same strategy. I’ll do this in an online 3-Day Live Workshop, "YouTube Fast-Track to Views & Passive Income."

It will take place on April 2, 3, 4. By participating, you will:

• Discover your unique niche along with its profit potential.
• Learn techniques to generate an endless stream of creative ideas.
• Determine the fastest way to get your first 1,000 subscribers.
• Overcome fears like being camera shy or fearing judgment from others, and make your first video!
• Learn how to outplay the YouTube algorithm to generate a large number of views for every video, even with a small number of subscribers.

P.S. If you've ever thought about starting a YouTube channel but kept putting it off, participating in this workshop will be the best decision of your life!

10 Things YouTube Gives Me

I decided to compile a list of what being a YouTuber brings to my life. Here's what I came up with:

1. Money. YouTube provides me with a stable, predictable stream of active and passive income. Keep in mind, this only works if you approach YouTube systematically as a business project.

2. Networking. Through the channel, I proactively meet cool people (it's much easier because there's a reason). Many find out about me and contact me themselves. Some guests even become friends.

3. Creative Work. I come up with new formats, questions for guests, and jokes. It's enjoyable and keeps the creative part of my brain active.

4. Documenting Life. In 10 years, I'll be able to track my life's development through my videos.

5. Speaking Skills. Amazing development in articulating thoughts and behaving on camera. This skill is then extensively used in live performances, webinars, team meetings, and even casual conversations with friends. 🙂

6. Organic Instagram Growth. Many people first watch me on YouTube and then follow me elsewhere.

7. Overcoming Fear of Haters. Initially, they bother you, but then you relax and learn to ignore the negativity, troll the haters back, and sometimes even listen to them to become more grounded and recognize your own shortcomings.

8. Deep Learning. In the process of working with interview questions, I delve deeply into the topics discussed with my guests, developing my own expertise in a variety of subjects.

9. Sense of Purpose. This point should have been first 🙂 Realizing that I provide value to people who learn about different places and people through my channel. Some even change their lives, moving to a new place after watching my videos.

10. Fun. Just being a YouTuber is cool.

I think I've just inspired myself even more haha!)) Off to shoot a new video!

But before I go: for those who also want to try their hand as content creators on YouTube, I will be hosting a free webinar where I will show and tell you how to:

• Start a channel from scratch in 2024 and overcome fears and procrastination.
• Use my proprietary technology that helped us grow to 100,000 subscribers.
• Implement a step-by-step plan to earn $10,000 a month from your channel.

The webinar is coming up this Thursday:
January 11th at 11:00 AM / 8:00 PM Singapore time (GMT+8).

Пост про мой самый большой страх, доходы с ютуба и планы на 2024. Прошу прощения, пост на-английском. Можете пропустить, если не актуально.

My Greatest Fear

A little over a year ago, when I met with my small YouTube team, our channel had about 5,000 subscribers, and new videos were getting 2,000-3,000 views. We spent two hours discussing how to reach 100,000 subscribers in 2023.

The trend wasn't very promising. Despite already having a channel with 300,000 subscribers in Russian and not being new to YouTube, I was still concerned.

Yet, I strongly believed that we would succeed and the channel would take off! I had the case of my other successful channel and the cases of dozens of channels that I helped to grow. I had my 5-step method that I had already applied many times.

But...

There was still a thought in the back of my mind: "What if it doesn't work out?"

IInterestingly, a year before that, I went to a therapist several times precisely with the question: why am I keep postponing starting a YouTube channel in Singapore? And together, we unearthed my unconscious fear of failure.

Eventually, we found a solution, and I finally launched the channel.

What did we do? Two things:

1. I set big goals for the year and articulated why each of them is truly important to me.
2. I incorporated celebrating small victories related to the channel into my routine. For example, after recording a new video, I treated myself to a massage. In other words, I rewarded my brain.

As a result, I launched the channel, and last year, we made a significant breakthrough. The fear of failure gradually faded, giving way to real results that started appearing from March 2023.

In the end, we became one of the most-watched channels in English in Singapore and Malaysia and are now gaining momentum in India.

In terms of money, the channel brought in around 120,000 USD, approximately one-third from each source - YouTube ads, brand deals, and our own products, which is also very cool - that the income is diversified.

For a startup that launched from scratch and only started picking up pace in March, I think this is a pretty good result.

Now, I'm setting goals for 2024. I believe the period around the New Year is the perfect time to set goals and start acting, so that a year later, you can look at yourself and say, "I did a great job."

I divided my goals into several categories, including money, health, and relationships.

For the channel, my goal is to grow to 500,000 subscribers and increase the channel's revenue to at least 500,000 USD. And I have a clear understanding of how to do it.

To help those of you who have long thought about starting a YouTube channel to share your knowledge or creativity with others through YouTube, while creating a new source of passive income this year, I will hold a free webinar where you will learn:

• How to start a channel from scratch in 2024 and overcome fears and procrastination
• My author's method that we used to grow to 100,000 subscribers
• A step-by-step plan to earn $10,000 a month from your channel

The webinar will take place on January 11th at 11:00 AM and 8:00 PM Singapore Time GMT+8 (choose the best time for you).

Reserve your seat here: event.webinarjam.com/register/11/1ymwzuo

Let's make your New Year the best in your life!!

Max
