I recently gave a talk about why Creationist/Intelligent Design arguments have failed to present a real scientific challenge to evolution. The talk is respectful to a religious audience. I hope you'll be comfortable sharing it with your creationist friends & family members.

We often think of alchemy as pseudoscience today because it often involved "magic" spells and so on, but it actually served as the foundation for modern chemistry. Thanks for all you did, alchemists!
*Note: In this animation I show experiments being done in glassware, at that time, they were using clay pots and wood fires, but if I drew the experiment that way, you wouldn't be able to see what's going on inside. youtube.com/shorts/lF63aCdPbY...

Tucker Carlson recently claim that evolution is "just a theory". He's simply wrong. Evolution is a fact.
It's true there is a thing called "evolutionary theory" which contains all the math and processes we've discovered that allow evolution to work, but it's also a directly observable fact. youtube.com/shorts/DfWbyU_QFS...
This short clip is from the longer video on my channel "What caused life's major evolutionary transitions?"

For the next 3 months I'm posting a YouTube Short, once per week as an experiment: Can I make shorts that are both educational and catchy enough to hit a larger audience? Here's my first one in the trial! Please share it where you can.

@SciBugs uses a brilliant analogy for convergent evolution here: If silk is a house, when we look closely at spiders and caterpillars, we see that yes, both make houses, but everything from style, to blueprints, to building blocks, are different. https://youtu.be/Rhky8HxVQt0?si=LD0xG...

Have you been spending sleepless nights puzzling over the question "is silk in spiders and caterpillars an example of convergent evolution or was it present in their common ancestor"? if so, Nancy has a video for you!

This female moth flashes hidden eye-spots when harassed. She seems to have no idea why it works - a concept called 'Competence Without Comprehension'. I like it.
