This is such a sad stat but no surprise really. A lot of the foster carers I talk to have been on the verge of quitting at various times.

A few of you have been asking me on an update on my fostering and the building works. Well…. I’ve kinda been avoiding answering because OMG I’m so frustrated by it all!! 😫 The building work STILL hasn’t started!! I keep speaking to our builder that keeps assuring me we’re starting soon but… it never happens. I’m starting to think he’s just messing me around and I need to get someone else. I’m finding it incredibly annoying 😤
I have spoken to my social worker today and I’m going to do some LIFT fostering which is offering support to other foster carers or birth families for a few hours a week as and when needed.
For now I’m focused on building up my Fostering Diaries shop with great resources for fellow foster carers
