Soldiers from Regional Force Surveillance Group (RFSG) Pilbara Regiment are trialling surveillance robots to patrol and monitor the nation's north.
The Ground Uncrewed System, known as GUS, is an uncrewed surveillance system that is capable of providing an observation effect for approximately 50 continuous days.
The use of the novel technology is supporting RFSG to observe difficult terrain across a broader distance.

Cooking up a storm in the Northern Territory! 🔥
The heat was on as chefs from RAAF Bases Darwin and Tindal, HMAS Coonawarra, and 1 Catering Company, 1st Brigade, battled it out in a tri-service cooking competition! 🍽️
Teams of four, produced three-course meals that showcased the vibrant ‘Flavours of Australia’.
A special appearance by our guest judges: His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie AO PSM, ex-MasterChef contestant Minoli De Silva, and NT Parliament House Chef Peter Jane who crowned the winners of the 2024 ADF NT Cooking Competition to RAAF Tindal Catering. 🎉

Packing for a flight is stressful enough but imagine your carry-on weighing 12,000 kilos and 30 metres long. That’s the challenge the Technical Support Troop of C Squadron, 5th Aviation Regiment, tackled during Exercise Brahman Rebuild.
They dismantled a CH-47F Chinook helicopter, loaded it into a C-17 Globemaster III, and then rebuilt it at RAAF Base Townsville. 🚁✈️
16 maintainers and their supervisors worked tirelessly to ensure the helicopter was ready for action. Despite the complexity and tight fit, the team successfully completed the task, ensuring our medium-lift helicopters can provide crucial support wherever needed.

Keeping them on their toes 💪
Fresh off the heels of Exercise Diamond Run, #AusArmy and the New Zealand Army were re-tasked to conduct Exercise Diamond Trident.
This exercise focused on rapid deployment, interoperability and force projection. Soldiers trained to seize, open and hold an airfield.
Exercises like this one develop our ability to work together with partner militaries and help to evolve #YourADF into an integrated, focused force. 👏
