video essay is taking this long because of writing. i want it to work on paper before the style of edit, cinematic & graphic work comes in.
substance in the text & structure is so essential to me now, i can't just pass off a plain essay & brush it off with my filmmaking skills.
the more time i've spent, the more the concepts, readings and themes evolve. drafts and rewrites everywhere. the final version of this video is a journey of its own.
i hope when it eventually comes out you'll all feel that effort and energy come through.
