I hate to make posts like this, but I have been dealing with some shenanigans on my end from YouTube.

I received a notification this morning that a link was removed from all my video descriptions and removed from my whole channel for violating the "deceptive scam practices" policies. The link in question was just my website. It is just my WordPress blog from around 2 years ago. Not only that, this website has SSL Encryption, making it very secure and safe to navigate.

I submitted an appeal and it was almost immediately rejected. I believe that this was completely automated and that no person was behind this, because if they viewed the website, they would see that there is nothing wrong with it. My website is also helpful for those who want to navigate additional pages of mine that are outside of YouTube.

It is not even about the website (I have even been looking into given it an overhaul look anyway), but it is about the principle.

This is not a new problem, and it has actually been a huge systemic issue on YouTube since I started back in 2009. Most decisions that can significantly affect someone's ability to support themselves are almost always determined by a computer, and not a person. There's no reason for the biggest company in the world to not have a basic customer support line when Amazon, Apple, and just about every other company that exists, has one.

As irritating and unfair as this situation is, I am trying my best to stay calm and keep a positive mindset. How I react to something will not change the outcome, and it is very important that we keep ourselves in an overall positive and healthy mindset, especially when dealing with bad news.

I am posting this here to spread awareness on this issue, and to bring some awareness to those dealing with similar problems as well. I am doing what I can to work with some sources who may be able to get this resolved, but nonetheless, this system is unreservedly flawed, and it has to change for the betterment of the site's future.

I have a video that's done, but running into some problems on YouTube's end. So I don't know when it will be up publicly, but it may take a few days.

A little bit flustered about it, but I do understand because the subject matter is more serious. I am hoping the wait on this doesn't make a difference. I very rarely cover serious topics like this, but I think the message behind the video is important, and I tried to be as respectful as possible covering it.

Ran into some technical issues on today's live stream, so we had to end early haha.
But I plan to do another one very soon and much more prepared!

I love that, right now, for a number of deeply complex and multi-faceted reasons, dozens of people have collectively agreed to upload the same full bootleg copy of Coraline to YouTube at the same time and are now each getting hundreds of thousands of views in just a couple hours. I have gotten so many of these recommended to me just now.
