🚨TRADE ALERT!🚨
The Vancouver #Canucks have traded Vasily Podkolzin to the Edmonton #Oilers in exchange for a 2025 4th-round pick.
It’s sad to see Podz go, but I think it was a move the Canucks had to make. With the offseason signings of Heinen, Sherwood, and Sprong, it was going to be even more challenging for Vasily to crack the lineup. And given that he‘s now waiver-eligible, it was wiser to trade him now rather than risk losing him for nothing on waivers during the season.

1) I'm putting the "The Nuckhead Podcast" on pause for a few weeks! I wanna take the time to line up some cool guests. Expect the next episode to be released on or before August 9th.

3) And finally – you know the Nuckhead theme music that I feature in all of my videos? Well, the artist who made that song just released his first album and it’s genuinely incredible! I’ve been listening to it on repeat since it came out last night and I'm blown away that he's not more popular (yet). If you like bands like Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Tame Impala, mk.gee, and Todd Rundgren – give it a listen, you'll love it! My favourite song off it so far is "it still feels real" – let me know what you think!

The more I think about it the more I agree with letting Elias Lindholm and Nikita Zadorov walk. You wanna keep the core that proved so many doubters wrong early in the season intact. The guys who have been here for years and know how much it sucks to lose in this market. No shade to Z or Lindy though, they’re great players. In fact, they were probably the #Canucks best players in the playoffs aside from J.T. Miller, Artūrs Šilovs and Brock Boeser.
